Why Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for Oracle E-Business Suite?

1. One vendor from application to infrastructure

Oracle supports E-Business Suite, the Oracle Database and the infrastructure they run on. When something goes wrong, you work through one support relationship instead of a hand-off between vendors.

OCI is a certified platform for Oracle E-Business Suite, and Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager automates provisioning, cloning and lift-and-shift migration of EBS environments.

If your data has to stay in your own data center, Oracle offers OCI services on-premises through Oracle Cloud@Customer, managed the same way as the public cloud.

2. Use the Oracle licenses you already own

Oracle’s Bring Your Own License (BYOL) program lets you apply your existing Oracle Database and middleware licenses to OCI, so moving to the cloud doesn’t mean buying them again.

Your EBS environment moves to OCI with the same Oracle Database, operating systems and tools your team already uses, so the migration keeps your familiar software and IT processes.

A bare metal server gives you a whole physical machine with no other tenants, managed from the same console and tools as the rest of OCI and on the same network as your other Oracle Cloud resources.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Web Application Firewall (WAF)

WAF is a cloud-based, Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant, global security service that protects applications from malicious and unwanted internet traffic. WAF can protect any internet facing endpoint, providing consistent rule enforcement across a customer’s applications.

WAF provides you protection tools against Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), SQL Injection and other OWASP-defined vulnerabilities. Unwanted bots can be mitigated while tactically allowed desirable bots to enter. Access rules can limit based on geography or the signature of the request.

The global Security Operations Center (SOC) will continually monitor the internet threat landscape acting as an extension of your IT infrastructure.

Web Application Firewall Policy

WAF policies encompass the overall configuration of your WAF service, including origin management, protection rule settings and bot detection features.

Origin

An origin must be defined in your WAF policy in order to set up protection rules or other features.

Protection Rules

Configure to either allow, block, or log network requests when they meet the specified criteria of a protection rule. The WAF will observe traffic to your web application over time and suggest new rules to apply.

Bot Management

Detect and either block or allow identified bot traffic to your web applications. Bot management features include: JavaScript Challenge, CAPTCHA Challenge, and GoodBot whitelists.

Support for new configurations, customizations, or data changes are billed at the following rates. These rates are subject to incident-by-incident review, depending on customer requirements.

Analyst/Functional Support: $135 per hour

Developer/Technical Support: $85 per hour

Data Entry / Maintenance Support: $30 per hour
